I was the first alternate in VCU and accepted in TWU this year. My GPA is lower than the scale above.

I go to the University of Kansas. Also got accepted to Mount Marty's program in South Dakota. My GPA scale was a little higher but please take in to account that your GPA is not the only thing they will look at. They look at many different aspects. You have to be a well rounded candidate and mainly have good strong references and expereince. I think the most important thing of all is to be able to prove why you have such a strong desire to be part of this wonderful field. Later,

Trust me if you look hard enough you will probably find a program that will accept you with a 3.0. Especially with all the new programs popping across the nation. Don't get me wrong, there are some extremely competitive programs out there that are very hard to get in, but it seems with the recent influx of new programs that getting in is not as hard as it may seem. However, that is just half the battle the other half is making through once you get accepted. I am starting to think the latter is tougher. I am about 1/3 through and it seems to be getting harder as I go. Good luck and I know a couple of people that have gotten in with low GPA's and seem to be doing all right.

Which school did they get into?

Georgetown University,

My GRE score was very good, and if you figured my nursing or science GPAs seperately, they were much higher. The 3.0 was for 212 credits, and included the first time I went to college and left with a 1.85.

Good luck.
