Can any Deaconess students in Illinois tell me, do they set you up with a clinical site when it comes time or is it up to the student to find the site? I am in Il and am considering Deaconess because distance leaning would really fit into my lifestyle right now, not to mention the fact the the nursing programs here have a pretty long waiting list. The only thing holding me back is my concern over the clinicals. If its up to the student, Im wondering how hard it would be to find a place that is willing to host a student durring their clinicals.
Thanks!

Hi Stacey,
I am an RN to BSN student @ Deaconess...you'll see from my info that I am from Maine, but I am originally from IL. If you contact Elizabeth in Naperville, she's the registrar for DCN onlline...her phone number is on the DCN web-page, she can give you all the info you need. Your academic advisor at Deaconess can help you find a clinical site in IL. If you want to PM me...I can give you some phone numbers and some e-mail addresses to help you. I can tell you that the faculty @ Deaconess is GREAT! They want you to be successful, and they will do everything they can to help you. Best of luck to you!
Sincerely,
