sorry about the title...it's not my program. lol! anyway, this is for anyone that is a new rn grad looking for a residency in close to atlanta, ga. it's in east point through tenet healthcare. i've listed a few of the details below.

the next rn residency begins in april 5, 2010. application deadline: february 19, 2010

rn resident positions available in the following clinical areas:

# positions unit shift

1 emergency department varied 12 hr midshift

1 critical care 7a-7p

1 critical care 7p-7a

1 mother baby 7a-7p

1 med surg 7p-7a

compensation

  • the base rate for rn residents is $21/hr.
  • in addition, shift differentials are applicable as follows: $3/hr (3pm-11pm) $4/hr (11p-7a) $3/hr (weekends).

qualifications

: requirements

  • recent associate, diploma or bs in nursing from an accredited nursing program (note: this is not a re-entry/refresher or training program for experienced rn's entering a new clinical area).
  • current ga rn license (must be obtained prior to residency start date)
  • current cpr (bls) certification
  • commitment to full-time employment at south fulton medical center at least 1 year following completion of the rn residency.
  • previous experience as nurse extern/cna/patient care tech/assistant preferred

in addition to completing the online application, you must submit the following to be considered for a position in the rn residency:

  • essay (topic: why i am the ideal caniddate for the rn residency)
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • resume
