Attending mdc vs. All other nursing programs

Published

I am going out of my mind waiting for a response from mdc. So I started looking at other options, there are two schools that fit my schedule well one is Dade Medical College with its new building and shiny equipment. It also has a $37000 price tag after they accept some of my pre reqs from MDC. Although this is a full time course it would take me about 2 years to finish. And they only tell you a week in advance the date and time of your next clinical (tough when I'm also working full time). I just also found management resources institute a program that was just started. Their first class of nursing students started in February and all the students who started are still all attending as of today there have been no drops or fails. The school is under construction-ish or being updated. A lot of the students are Doctors from other countries ( which makes me think I would be very behind their education level). But the accept all of my MDC credits and it will only cost me $25000 for the remaining 13 months I would need to finish. Their price as well as Dade Medical includes all books, uniforms, cost of the nclex first time its taken, and a prep class for nclex. They decide on what date and time your clinicals are at the begining of each semester and inform you then the day of the week and hours for the remainder of semester. How will me choosing any if these schools affect my getting a job when I am a nurse. Does it even matter? I am in full on anxiety mode! Please give your opinions...
