ATT for MarylandBON?

Published

Hi all,

First time poster. Hope I'm doing this right. I just got my dreaded candidate report from NCSBN reporting that I failed NCLEX (my first time).

My ATT is still valid. Do I need to re-apply for a new ATT? ie send MBON a $100 check with passport photo etc. Do I need to do fingerprints and things again? I'm doing the research on the website but just wanted to come here and get some input from others while I search. So I would end up paying $300 again?

I also read somewhere (I think, I can't find the page anymore) to wait for a new ATT THEN re-register with Pearson. Otherwise, I could end up losing $200 with the whole no-refund aspect. I'm sorry if this question is redundant but my mind is literally lost right now.

Your ATT is valid for one test. You need to check MD BoN regarding applying for retaking the exam and if a fee is involved

At minimum you need to reapply for authorization to the BoN and you have to register and pay $200 registration fee at Pearson Vue

I checked MDBoN

Yes each NCLEX retake is $100 plus this form: http://mbon.maryland.gov/Documents/nclex_reschedule_form.pdf

And $200 to Pearson so each retake is $300

Thanks a lot for the info! I've just been so down.

I'm about to drop off my application with the check now. It says that I must be registered with Pearson to achieve my ATT. I think I read somewhere to hold off paying the $200 for a bit. Should I go ahead and register with Pearson now as I'm sending out the MBON application?

You can wait a bit. I waited like 2 weeks because o know my BoN is slow as molasses.
