Atrium Health New Grad Program Summer 2020

hi everyone!

I applied for my first nurse residency program a week ago at Atrium (Charlotte,NC) and have a few questions!

does anyone know how long it takes to hear back after applying?

how competitive is the program in general and how competitive is it to get placed in your preferred track? (mine is women's and children)

does anyone have any interview insight/advice for residency programs in general?

I applied for the Winter cohort and my process took about two weeks. I was scheduled a FT interview since I’m out of state. I interviewed with the nurse manager and did three peer interviews with nurses on the floor. The interview was very relaxed and basic get to know you questions and why I choose nursing. She also asked about my work experience and what if scenarios. After the interview, HR called me and offered me the position within 15 minutes.

Thank you! I just got an e-mail today saying my application was under consideration so hoping for more info soon. I applied late so I think that's why it has taken longer for an update.

You’re welcome, I also applied late as well. So I didn’t have much options to choose from.

The last update I got was last week and my status just changed to under consideration. It took about a month for it to change!

Is anyone who applied also from out of state or currently a Charlotte resident? I’m coming from out of state and would love to get in contact with everyone applying for this cohort being that I would be new new into town. If you would like to exchange emails, LinkedIn, or facebook information that would great as well!

I applied to this program about 2 weeks ago and my application is under consideration. I am also applying from out of state and I am hoping to be placed in an ICU. I am so excited about this program!
