.. Good Day ALL,
.. . I'am new to allnurses.com and am very grateful for the site. It provides much insight:yeah:. My question today is I wanted to start a LPN Program then transfer to Broward College RN program, but I'm not sure on which school to attend (Atlantic-Coconut Creek, FL, McFatter-Davie, FL, or Sheridan-Hollywood, FL).. . I attended orientation at Sheridan but was turned off by the program director at the time .. I've came acrossed many students at Broward General Hospital that attended Atlantic .. McFatter I havent heard much about.. . I have already taken the TABE test and passed .. .But still have to take the TEAS.. But I dont know where to go!! Can any one recommend a school; its benefits and requirements for the LPN Program! Maybe Im asking to much.. But its REALLY appreciated, I just need a boost.

Hi,I did the LPN program in 1997 at Atlantic Vocational.Than I did the LPN to RN transition at Broward College.I would suggest to do the LPN at Atlantic.Atlantic is a well respected school, the instructors are good, the program can be difficult and some of the instructors are tough. However, when you come out of there -they expect good nurses. A lot of nurses are hired from Atlantic and BCC because they have good reputations for putting out good nurses. For the LPN program -you have to have your GED or highschool diploma and do pass a test that reviews grammar, reading& comprehension and basic math. After you pass that test you are ready to apply for that program.I hope this info helps.

hi nhanci, i wanted to know how you are doing at atc so far. i am stuck between atc, mcfatter, & sheridan & i have heard mixed review about each one. i wanted to know if you enjoyed it & if it's true that a lot of student's leave atc to go to sheridan because it's easier.
