Is anyone familiar with the L&D unit at Atlanta Medical Center? I've not heard much about it - anyone worked there, or known someone else who has? Any thoughts or comments (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated!

Could someone answer this? Could someone also give more detailed info. about other Atlanta hospitals? We have some posts from 2004 and new info. is needed.

Thanks,

Windy

Hey Azor,

When did you apply to Atl Med Ctr & how long did it take for them

to actually give you an interview & hire you? I'm really interested in

working for that hospital, but feel like I'm getting the run around from the recruiter there.

i applied i think towards the end of june then the nurse recruiter sent me an email saying that she saw my application and that after if i am hired that i'll be trained.so i replied her and we were conversing via email then she fixed me for inter view with neuro and ortho.i did the interview and was hired but after going thru some threads about neuro and ortho i decided to go to med-surg which is were i'll be.it took the nurse recruiter like a week or little more to send me the initial email.i feel its God's way of compensating me after going thru hell in the handof Grady's nurse recruiter.i love ATL med ctr.the experience was so good compared to what i went thru in Grady.goodluck Dear.

Azor, I just applied for AMC's Ortho-Neuro unit. By Email. How responsive are they there and what are they looking for in a candidate? I have little clinical experience. Graduated this May w/ BSN and this last weekend passed NCLEX-RN

Should I expect to hear frm them pretty rapidly or will it take forever?

thanks!

Dont stress yourself so much cos they'll call you.I interviewed with the manager before i decided to go to med-surg floor. They want somebody with good customer service approach,a person that is willing to give her all in caring for patients without any reservation.Just wait by Gods grace, things will turn out good for you.

Thanks Azor!

I'll give a follow up call in a couple of days. But I'm hoping I'm catching nurse recruiters looking for new nurse grads at a good time of year. It doesn't seem like they're hiring now, yet this job was posted on their site.

Keeping fingers crossed!

Dear,i am not sure if they are hiring or not but left for me,i'll say they are cos i saw somebody coming to be interviewed they other day and i know they do orientation twice a month so for that, they ARE.cALL THEM OK,YOU NEVER KNOW,THE NURSE RECRUITER WILL FIX YOU UP.the nurse recruiter can answer your emails if you do send one to her because all our correspondences was thru e-mails.goodluck.You'll get a job.All hope is not lost.
