Hi, just wondering if you have any points on what to expect from my first ATI exam? It is on Mental Health. Any tips? I would appreciate any help.

My suggestions as an ATI survivor :)
1. Read the ATI book and complete the questions at the end of each chapter
2. Do the practice exam and create a focused review and review the topics on the focused review.
3. Most important IMO, when you do the practice exams, read every single rationale for ALL questions even the ones you got right.

If you have Learning Systems RN with ATI, do the Mental Health 1 & 2 practice exams, and Mental Health Final. Also, under Learning Systems RN, I would do the Communication practice exam. The proctored ATI exam is a lot about therapeutic communication, so make sure you understand the fundamentals of it. Do all the quizzes in the book if you can, Also, if you have the Saunders book and CD, I would do those practice questions for psychiatric nursing. In the CD, there are about 200 questions for psych; I found them very helpful I got a Level 3 on ATI for psych last April. I have gotten 4 level 3's thus far, and 2 level 2's
