Hello everyone!
I am new to this site, however, I have been reading bits and pieces throughout the years.
My question is regarding the On-line Post LPN tp BN at Athabasca. Here are some questions, any help would be great.
1- Do I have to write the LPN examination as I am a Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario?
2- Do I have to go to Alberta to write that, even before I apply?
3- Whom do I get in contact with in Ontario, to discuss temporary practicing licenses?
4- Any phone numbers of contacts within Athabasca they want to share.?
I hope this gets posted correctly.
5- Also, any Ontario RPN's on this forum thinking about doing this as well? Let's connect.
Thanks for any help
Jackie M.

Hey, how you doing, I have the same questions in mine, my average is not the best and was thinking about doing so, I also had in mine about how long this program will take, and also if you can drop courses before you fail them, or how many times you can fail without being kicked out the programme, since i heard at times the teachers can be hit or miss.
Hello, you have 7 years to complete. I don't know about how many times you can fail a course. I do know there is a math pass/fail test in cluster b. My average isn't great either, but I don't think it matters to get in, you do have to keep it up to stay in the course
I was reading that you can start cluster A, before graduating to get some courses out of the way. Have you considered upgrading courses at U o It, or nissisiping 5 year
No I haven't. I don't know much about upgrading the practical nursing courses. Last time I looked at Universities like McMaster they were not taking upgraded classes. What do you know about it?

I have looked into nippissing but you need to get a job with their partner facilities. I don't need another job, and can't seem to get one with their partners anyways? Let me know if you know anything else. Either way, I'm gonna get this damn degree
wait, so you have to be working and have a job with their partnered facility, while in school?
Yup! Go to their website and look up RPN to BAcn the blended delivery and hit the tab current partners. The facilities that work with them are all there. Hopefully your already working at one.
cheers

I am also thinking of this option? Has anyone enrolled in the Athabasca program so far?
