Hi there. I have to submit an assignment on how the code of ethics for nurses pertain to customer service. I have to discuss the issues and I really don't know where to start and what is expected of me. Please help me anyone, I need guidelines and explanation.

I imagine your instructor would give you better guidelines and instructions than random people if the internet who don't know the assignment or the syllabus.

I personally don't think the nursing code of ethics pertains to customer service, or at least I think it's poorly worded. My code of ethics pertains to what is best for the patient, which has the aspect of working with the patient and the patient desires and goals.

Exactly. That's the problem. As for the tutors I have, they are not around to help and told me to do it and that's it.

Compare and contrast autonomy with "the customer is always right." Consider a patient who is altered in some fashion... or kid or someone else with a DPOA.

Pick a couple of other points of nursing ethics and do the same thing.

Compare and contrast the terms "patient" and "customer"...

Thanks a lot. I would like to write on the link between oral hygiene and respiratory n other infections in critically ill patients.. that is, when it's not properly done or due to lack of knowledge of staff. I am not sure on what to write exactly in my research proposal...I am scared to be stuck in the middle of the research. I want to write on a precise topic in which I'll get enough information.
