ASN school TN- help

Published

hello everybody- i've been on this site reading for hours at a time since i was a nursing student, and have found some really great advice, and learned quite a few thigs. i am an lpn in tn with 3+ years exp., mostly private duty, home health, ltc. correctional health, with everything from peds to tbi, and alot in between.

i'm looking to go further, i thought as an pn student, " when i'm over this hurdle- i'll be happy, fufilled in my proffession and know just about everything". well needless to say- that hasn't happened. as an lpn there are so many things i don't get to do- and many things i do that an rn gets the recognition for. i want to be "that" nurse- the nurse who inspires that pn student to look ahead and see what she is capable of. i have met many along the way- even though they may not know it- i was absolutely enthralled with the knowledge of a wocn i met and many others. i have a passion for learning- the why, the how, and most importantly- the how to fix it:specs:

anyways as i go on babeling- i'll get to the point. i'm looking for an rn program- a fast one preferably online- i'm pretty impatient, and very type a. i want something reputable. i don't really have time for the traditional campus based programs- with family, home. work etc. any help is really appreciated- i know there is alot of exp out there with this sort of thing- send some my way -please.

Excelsior College is a reputable and accredited distance program that offers an LPN-to-RN bridge, and people have completed it in less than 1 year. In my state of residence, many Excelsior RNs have moved on to successful careers after being LPNs/LVNs. Good luck to you!

Thank you- I'm actually waiting on a package from them now. I guess maybe just a little eghem, dare I say scared- it's a big jump- and I've heard good and bad things on just about every option. But waiting another year or more questioning anp procrastinating just isn't an option. Thanks again
