ASN/BSN programs in Louisiana (BatonRouge/NewOrleans) Lpn to Rn

Published

Hi everyone, I'll be graduating as an LPN this coming January and I was wondering what you all think is a good school for me to receive my ADN. I was considering BRCC, but after hearing all the negativity I'm not sure. I also thought about Charity. It seems as though after I finish all my prerequisites receiving the ADN will take more than 2 years, so maybe receiving a BSN would just be better. Im a little confused about the route I want to take , so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!!!

I would say go for the BSN. When I graduated from Lpn school it still took me another year n half to finish prereqs.. Just look at your options, see how far you want to drive and check out each schools curriculum.

For bridge BSN there's Selu which is based in BR once in the program, nicholls in thibodaux, OLHC in New Orleans (expensive option).

For ASN there's BRCC (haven't heard negative things they're just harder to get in if you didn't attend BRCC), charity of course but major competition, BR General (diploma). I can't think of anymore that have bridge programs. Also remember most programs want at least 1 yr experience.

Thanks for your input (:
