Aromatherapy Certification

Published

Has anyone here pursued getting an Aromatherapy Certification and if so how does it work at your facility?Several of us just finished LEVEL 1 Healing Hands and want to continue courses. I thought an Aromatherapy Certification would go great with Healing Hands. Most of nurses I work with think HEALING HANDS is okay, but the Aromatherapy is waste of time and money for course. What do you think?

essential oils are not something to dabble in. One can do a lot of harm unless they are trained properly and I personally do not use any of the multilevel marketing schemes. Their purpose is to sell oil. It's like anything else certificates are certificates of completion. RA or registered aromatherapist says you have 200 hrs of education. There is no regulation in aromatherapy.

Yeah we have a guy coming to do "Integrated med" talk and supposed to "certify" nursing after teaching us. IMO he's selling his brand of oil's not anything more. I've signed up for course in Local college but had to pay and do on my own time as facility I work at think this salesman guy is okay....NOT Still I think it's worthy of my time and will enhance the "Healing Hands" part.

If the guy is a sales rep he more than likely does not have a proper EO education. I've spent thousands of dollars on and with some of the best international eductors in EO. Can I practice safely absolutely. A tremendous amount of harm can come from ptracticing if you do not have a good education that includes chemistry and pharmaceutical education. It takes a minimum of two years to become proficient as a beginner. Oils are strong and wonderful medicines,

The two large company reps like to get into nursing situation because it increases their bottom line. Oils smell wonderful and it hooks people in especially when the reps start touting some of the stories they do. You are smart in listening to your intuition.

Remember your license is always in jepordy if you are not exceptionally careful.

I've never heard of Healing Hands...Healing Touch, Therapeutic Touch, Eden Energy Medicine, Acupressure through Soul Lightening...all programs that have nursing approval. There is a program called M-Technique that is beautiful work. Reiki. These are all recognized in nursing. Some are endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association as being appropriate for providing nursing continuing education credits, but I've never heard of Healing Hands.
