Hi,
I am new to the forum and am looking for some assistance from any Army 68WM6's who have experience with Chamberlain's online LPN to RN Bridge program. My main concern is how many credits do they give for the M6 and 68W training? I see that Chamberlain requires labs with the AP and Micro, if they give any credit for the M6 program do they waive the lab or are you required to take the classes over just because the M6 doesn't get lab credit? Any help is greatly appreciated.

have you looked at excelsoir college? they are very liberal with military mos credits, and are military/veteran friendly. i took both a&p and micro with out a lab. they offer programed courses or you can test out of the exam by studying on your own. if you're an lpn there are a couple tests that can be awarded to you.
the major drawback to the program is the cpne or clinical practical nursing exam. it is a three day test at a hospital the school contracts with, i took mine at grady in atlanta. the first day you have 4 lab stations to complete. iv piggyback or secondary iv meds, im/subq, iv push and wound packing. the next day you will have two patients where you will have to complete several 'critical elements' bp, ap, radial pulse, meds, i&o, several assessments, hand washing and in general how you handle yourself with patients. after your two patients you can repeat any failed labs from the day before. the next day you have one patient where you have to complete 'critical elements' again. after that patient is done you can repeat any failed patients. during the test you are allowed to repeat 2 patients of the three, one adult and one peds. excelsior has a study guide to follow, they explain what they expect you to be able to do and how they want you to do it. so if you follow the study guide, they cannot fail you.
i etsed in 1983, i haven't been in a hospital since and passed the exam with out any repeats, except i had 5 patients that weekend, one was having withdrawals and ran us out of his room and another went awol, ripped his iv line out, and left. my peds was a 39 y/o woman with medical problems, my adults were a leg fx and a self inflicted gunshot wound .45 to the leg. it was fun.
there are a few people who think this program isn't worth doing or they had a friend of a friend who may have failed, but it is a nln approved program, accepted in most states and the government.
this may not have answered you question about chamberlain but it offers you an option you may have not looked into.
