Armstrong Atlantic State University Accelerated Nursing Fall 2015

Published

Hey guys! I thought I would start a thread (because I didn't find one) for anyone who has applied to the accelerated program for fall 2015 start.

Hey ag6297, I got your private message from an earlier post, but I am not allowed to private message you somehow. Everytime I try I get an error message saying that I do not have enough posts yet to be able to send someone a private message! So, I don't know if you got anything from me or not. To Leahm256 and Georgia215, maybe we should just start a closed group Facebook page so that we can communicate more effectively. I will be happy to do that. I'll post the link in a bit--ag6297, please feel free to join that group as well. I do have a few questions. Thanks all!

I started a FB group for us. It will be easier to connect that way I think. Please join!

Thanks! Looking forward to meeting you all!

I am starting the traditional BSN program at Armstrong Fall 2015 and there isn't a page created for the traditional program. I am moving from Atlanta to Savannah and I honestly don't know anyone in Savannah. So I was wondering if any of you know any girls that will be starting the traditional program this fall that may need a roommate! I am freaking out because I can't afford a one bedroom apartment and I am not really sure what else to do to find roommates for I have already reached out to the nursing admin and they won't give me any names of people attending in the fall due to privacy protocol I am sure. If anyone knows of anyone, please please please let me know! I posted on the Armstrong FB page already as well but no response yet.

Do you happen to know anyone starting the traditional BSN program in the fall? I just created an allnurses thread for the traditional Fall BSN students, but I am desperately trying to hurry and find roommates. I am moving from Atlanta and I don't know anyone at all from Savannah so it is making finding roommates impossible.

No, I am so sorry...I don't. Our cohort just met last week. There are only 20 of us, and I really don't know everyone yet, but I can post something to our FB group for those that have joined and see if they have any leads for you. Hopefully someone will see your thread and be in the same boat. I know that Armstrong has an Association of Nursing Students that will set you up with a mentor. Call the school and ask them for the email of the email for the coordinator for that program. Maybe if you can go ahead and join it now, she can help you connect with someone. Good luck!

Hey! My name is KeAyra. I live in Michigan and was looking to transfer to AASU for the nursing program. My parents live down there! I'm not sure on what to do, what's the minimum gpa accepted? What's the lowest teas test score you can get. I have a 3.44 and I am extremely worried about getting into the program and don't want to waste my time applying if I know I won't get accepted. I'm not great at standardized test either. I have about 3 classes left to take for the program. Can you apply to the program with still having one semester left to take? How does it work? Please help!!!!

I'm currently in the accelerated program. I wish everyone goodluck with the interviews! Message me if you have any questions

I am unable to message but can you give some details about the intensity of the program??

Hi there - I have recently applied to the ABSN program (and the regular program) at AASU. Could you offer any insight into the program itself? I am trying to see what program will be best for me (given I have a choice between the two). I am obviousy post-bacc but my background is not in science.

I'm assuming the interview will be questions such as why you want to be a nurse, if you are able to not work during the program, and if you are prepared for the intensity of the program. Any insight you have for that is greatly appreciated! I have my interview next week.

Hope you all are doing well and enjoyed the ABSN program. Thank you so much!

Hi ag6297, I've applied to the 2017 Fall accelerated program at AASU. My interview is today, can you please share anything with me? What to expect during interview and how was the program? Did you complete it with success? Are you currently working as a nurse? How difficult is the accelerated program? Any info will help thanks.

Is there anyone who attended the ABSN who could answer a few questions? I would love to talk, I would appreciate it so much!
