Are YOU getting paid enough?

Allnurses is conducting a salary survey!!! So, I have briefly spoke about this in another post and wanted to follow up on it.

As stated, allnurses is conducting a survey regarding salary, the amount of years you've been a nurse, your highest level of education, nurse to patient ratio and many other topics a lot of us nurses are interested in.

Nursing is a HARD job, physically and mentally and while most of us will agree that we do it because we LOVE it, we all know deep down getting compensated is also of primary importance. Because lets be real, you need money to live life, so no matter how much you love your job, you still need to be compensated.

Anyhow, this survey is really cool and outlines all of these topics and it would be awesome to see many of us do it so that we can refer back to it with any questions we may have. For instance, are you getting paid enough? Is your nurse to patient ratio the same as others in the country? Are you colleagues BSN or ADN grads? All of these topics are covered and I think it would be awesome to see a ton of people participate.
