Hi there! :)

I just want to ask anyone of you who has an idea if RN's are still allowed to sit for the Midwifery Board Exam? I want to become a RM since I am currently working in a birthing station. I had read a similar thread, but it was dated a year ago.. Maybe someone has an update/ or info with regard to this matter.

Many Thanks. :)

I have the same dilemma. I am planning to take the exam this coming April but have not completed the cases yet. Did you already take the Midwifery Boards? please update regarding this one. Or maybe if i have been given some time I'll go to PRC in person and ask regarding this matter.

Hope to hear from other people with the same plans like we have. :nurse:

Hi there Jpcvcj19! :)

I have not taken the midwifery board exam. I want to, but I am not sure whether RNs are still allowed to sit for the said exam. I have had no time to go personally to the PRC office to inquire about it because of my work. Anyway, do you have any update about it? Thanks.

Yes, as far as my knowledge is concern, they still allowed Rn's to take the midwifery exam as long as you have completed the necessary requirements.
