Are you employed part-time or full-time?

What kind of work schedule do you have? How long are you shifts? What kind of benefits do you get?

I'd like to know how common it is to be a part-time RN, and how the salary/wage differs from being full-time.

Specializes in Med-Surg, Tele, DOU.

I work full-time (3 12hour shifts per week). Nice sleepy slow paced hospital with fairly decent pay. Not perfect but it's okay by me. I leave on time and don't get hasseled to death with all the politics. The nurses I work with like providing good care for the patients. It is a nice experience to work with a good team of nurses. For me this is definitely great.

I have another job too though. It is with a registry. I schedule my days of availability and go when work is available. The flip side is sometimes, I end up going to hospitals where the work environment is fairly toxic. But I don't care. I honestly don't. I'm there to do a job, not relax and enjoy a relationship. I want to learn more about other companies and how business is conducted elsewhere too.
