I know of a couple different great journals geared towards primary care NPs such as The Nurse Practitioner Journal and JNP or The Journal for Nurse Practitioners (which I actually subscribe to) by the American College of Nurse Practitioners, but since I am studying to become an ACNP, I wanted to know if there are any official ACNP journals out there? I have not heard of any. Thanks.

I don't think there is one. Part of the reason is probably because we have no national association exclusively devoted to ACNP's. You're right though, the AANP and ACNP (Amer Coll of Nurse Prac) journals are pretty much targeted towards primary care. You can always use peer reviewed medical journals such as NEJM and Annals of Internal Med. Sometimes critical care journals are also helpful.

perhaps we should form our own national organization... *hehe* maybe we could just present this idea to aanp?
not a bad idea at all! :) hey daisy tell us about what you're doing in your cardiac job so far. i'm dying to hear all about it, since cardiology is my sub-specialty area in school! :) thanks!
one journal that i find very informative and not as focused on primary care is clinician reviews... you can go to http://www.clinicianreviews.com and i even think its a free subscription. it's peer-reviewed and for nps/pas.
