Hello everyone!
Time is going by so slow, I have 25 days till my first day as a nursing student:anbd:
I spoke with some students in my program and they stated that since the CNA course was a pre-req, that the basic CNA skills arent touched on in class. They stated that they pretty much just hit the ground running. My question to you is, if you are in a LPN/LVN program that does not focus too much on the CNA skills, how does your program work? Were you overwhelmed and did/do you have classmates that arent too well versed on these CNA skills? How are they doing? I have been reading a lot of posts on here stating that the first month or two in class and skills lab is basic nursing care, how has your first couple of months been like? I had to do the the CNA course to get into the program, and am now wondering if I should keep practicing on my husband the skills from that program or quit my medical assisting job to get a job in hospital ASAP!! Any information would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
