Is anybody here going to the Inter American University, the english trimester program in August? I'm going to be moving back to Puerto Rico and if anyone needs any help, I can definetly help you out. It would be nice to meet some people that will be going to the same school prior to school starting. My entire extended family lives there, born and raised there, I can show you around so on the weekends you wont be bored : ) haha Hope to hear from somebody! haha or if you have any questions about what its like there, anything, really let me know!:D

I am actually moving to Puerto Rico in the next 2 weeks and I am very anxious (I guess is normal) and I actually think I am going to take on your offer to help. I have tone of questions, where to live, how the program is (if you have taken classes there already), etc. Perphaps, we should exchange emails so that we can get in touch. Im new to this website but Im going to try to figure out how to send my email in a private message. Thank you again, I will deeply appreciate any help since I am completely clueless about things work in PR

A friend and I are also planning on moving to Puerto Rico to live with family while attending this school. However we would be starting the trimester in November. If advice or personal experiences of any kind could be shared by either of you it would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any specific questions you can ask me on here, I have been thinking about how to talk in private (tattinatti) but I don't know how since I'm a new user.

I have some information I can share. My brother has attended the Inter before but I haven't. August will be my first semester at this school. My mom spoke with admissions because I was not in Puerto Rico yet and the admissions lady said that the best group of girl shes ever seen is in the nursing night classes. Yay, I will be in that group haha.

I wouldn't recommended living on campus. My brother said the dorms are HORRIBLE, dirty, old etc etc. I wouldn't know though and he's also high maintenance :nuke:. He likes the school. It's very easy to find where you're going in the trimester program because it's all in the same building. Everyone speaks english (if you can't speak spanish) and you sometimes have to talk SLOW otherwise they look at you like you're crazy.

You can pretty much walk everywhere here, luckily this time of year around the Inter there is a breeze so it's not too hot.

Don't know what else to say but like I said any specific questions, go right ahead and ask.

hello everyone,

i'm also going to start this november or next august, they haven't notified me on the dates yet. i found out about this school by reading other posts recently and based on the limited research i have done and excited about this school and there program. i have been born and raised in california and the school system here is disgusting, due to large population and long waitlists and this is one of the reasons i have been looking at schools out of california. i have so many questions about puerto rico and attending school there that i don't even know where to begin.

where should i be looking to live? what is the monthly cost? jobs? how are people to newcomers? would i need a car? how is the nursing program at preparing students for the board exams, including the nclex? do you know anyone who has graduated from this program and what is the feedback? any good areas around the campus for living? is the campus centrally located to the heart of the city? i don't speak spanish, is that an issue?

any respond will be appreciated, i'm planning to come for a visit just to get a feeling about the city and the campus and any help would be thanked.

I really want to go there too I heard that ir only take 2yrs to get a BSN. The only issue is I dont speak spanish. Do any one know if the instructors speak english or do they teach in spanish? If so the I will not pass. LOL

But do they teach you in spanish or english. Also is the BSN program really 2yrs?
