where i do my clinicals, i see a happy mix of all cultures...american, indian, british, filipinos, what have you. there has not been any such accusation and i think nobody gets more pt assignments than someone else just because of who they are. that's crazy. people will always have prejudices as indviduals but that doesn't have to translate to how they conduct their professional roles. not only is it unacceptable, it's way too obvious. don't worry about it....are they? and is it tru that filipino nurses often times get more patients that non-filipinos? and sometimes even a lower salary?? how true is this?
Rule to live by:
A nurse is a nurse, period. Does not matter gender, color, age, anything else. And no one gets more patients than another.............assignments are based on acuity, you may see one nurse get a one fewer patient because the load is heavier, but nothing more.
Just naother rumor that has started in Manila and needs to be stopped.
