Are there any College of the Desert students out there?

Just wondering if anyone is awaiting COD Fall ADN program or if anyone is in the program.

I am interested to hear if there are any replies to this. I am a graduate of their associates degree program in nursing (my first nursing degree) and was a long-time resident of this desert area for many years before going back east to work and finish up my BSN.

Wow Daytonite-thats crazy that you lived in the desert. I really love the desert even though it gets so blazin hot. I have lived both on the east and west coast and love love love the west coast. How do they compare for you? I guess nobody is at COD---sigh. I feel so alone!

i lived in the palm springs or yucca valley area for well over 10 years. it gets really hot around this time of year. i felt for many years that my california nursing education was superb. i finished my bsn in ohio and the program was intensive and focused on other things beside straight hands-on nursing which is as it should have been. in the desert, i tend to have allergies to some of the pollen produced by the desert plants, but not so in the east. i don't like the humidity of the east, or the ice and snow. however, there's nothing to compare to a sandstorm in the desert when the santana winds come through or the flash flooding that comes down san jacinto. indian avenue got washed out more than once when i was living there, and i'm talking about huge craters left where the road once was!
