Most of the Community Colleges in Portland use a point system. PCC does use a lottery system but in 2010 they will be joining other schools in the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education, using a common application/point system. Oregon Health Sciences University and Linfield College have Accelerated BSN programs. The accelerated programs are just as competitive as the associate programs. At a recent info session at Linfield, about 90% of the attendees already had a Bachelors. OHSU looks at ALL under grad course work for calculating the GPA. Linfield only looks at the pre requisites in calculating GPA for admission to the accelerated program.

University of Portland has an Alternate Entry Program for individuals who have a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field. A Masters program where you earn an RN in 4 semesters, then work as an RN and CNL component over 7 semesters. If you did well as an undergrad (minimum 3.2 GPA) this may be a good option for you.

A's on all of your pre requisites, especially the sciences! Good luck!
