Arc nursing spring 2014

Published

I thought I would start a forum for the spring 2014 semester. This is my third time applying so hopefully third time is the charm

I responded ASAP we had until today to respond. Based on the email they r selecting 22 students and they sent it to 20 people. But if they don't respond by today they are going to select the next highest ranked person

So how are you keeping from checking your email every 30 seconds for a response? The anticipation is so hard for me to hear back, I really hate this, I can't wait until this is over. This was my dream program, I am gonna be so sad if I don't get it. The sutter program is supposed to be really good! But also fast and intense. Please post if you hear anything Mrsshipp! :nailbiting:

Lol I can't stop checking my email it's become my addiction. This is my dream too I wanted to be a nurse since I was 4 yrs old the first time I didn't get in I felt so defeated. I'm hopeful that we will both get in. I'm glad that this is Ur dream too becuz a lot of people want to be nurses for other reasons and I know if I'm ever sick I want someone that loves their job. I'll definetly keep u posted. I'm not sure if I can pm yet but I'm going to try to send u the email they sent me.

I was one of the 20 that got that email too actually thank goodness!! I said I was very interested and available of course!

Yay maybe we'll have class together. When did u get the email??

It says it was sent at 10:43 on Thursday, but I didn't see it until Friday, when you wrote about it actually on here that is what made my check my gmail so thank you I owe you one! I hope we have class together too!

Hi there! I'm a bit confused... You got an acceptance letter from ARC or another program? Thanks :)

Specializes in Emergency Department.

The Sutter Extended Campus program is run through Sacramento City College. It is an accelerated program, but only in the sense that they run through the Summer, so it's also 4 semesters long. If you apply to Sac City College, if they determine they're going to have a class at Extended Campus, they'll pull from SCC qualified applicants. One interesting thing about this program is that most, if not all, of the clinical time will be done at Sutter facilities.

Thank you so much for the clarification! That sounds like a great program, I'll have to look into it.

This was my first time applying to ARC and my total points were 65. I understand that they pick from the top 30% but that all depends on the applicant with the highest points, right? Hypothetically speaking, if the top applicant had 90 points then wouldn't they pull from 60-90 points? This whole waiting game is killing me! I can't imagine how some of you who have been waiting years must feel!

Ur welcome glad to help @hopefulrn86

I got an email from SCC @ SKOC

I've been waiting for a year and it feels like forever but that's nothing compared to most
