APU 2+2 Spring 2019

Published

Hi! I wanted to start a thread for people applying to Azusa's upper division transfer 2+2 program for Spring 2019!

I just submitted my application with a 3.81 GPA from my BA and so far 4.0 in science pre-reqs but I still have to take Chem and Micro this fall, so we'll see if I can keep that up.

It seems like having in progress prereqs is OK. Anybody else applied? or have in progress prereqs?

Does anyone know how many people generally apply for each cohort and how many are accepted?

I just finished my application, really looking for Fall 2019, but applied early to see what/if I still need to take some classes. Have you heard anything about your application yet?

Hi guys I got accepted to spring 2019. I applied for fall 2018, but ended up being an alternate. No one dropped so I'm starting January. I don't know about how many people apply, but I do know that they accept only 30 people.

Hi guys!

I was looking for a thread for Spring 2019 and I made one. haha!

Anyway, does anyone know how to delete a thread? That way we can just keep one.

K.Rae, sounds like your application is very competitive with that gpa, I'm sure you will get in. I know APU says that they consider other things besides your gpa but honestly, I don't think that's entirely true. I really think you have nothing to worry about.

I submitted my application two weeks before the deadline. I was a bit disappointed because they counted all my coursework. I completed a BA almost ten years ago and my grades were horrible. Some semesters I did great and others I did horrible. My overall gpa is a 2.7, so I'm really hoping they take into consideration everything else. APU accepts students on a probational status and the minimum gpa is 2.7. I recently completed an associate's degree - with the coursework I transferred and the coursework I completed, my gpa is a 3.0 and just the coursework I completed with the college my gpa is a 3.5 and science prereqs my gpa is a 3.5. I wrote a letter of hardship explaining why I did horrible in college. I really hope they take that into consideration.

I do feel that everyone else that has applied has a more competitive application vs. mine.

Ugh! super nervous. They informed me that acceptances begin a month from now.

When you applied, Did you get an interview? If so, how did it go?

Hey! Did you apply for Spring 2019. Have you heard anything back from the school?

Hey everyone! Seems like this thread is pretty dead. No one has posted anything :(

I'm hoping prospective students begin posting so we can keep each other posted.

It's October 10th and I'm getting a bit concerned...haven't heard back from the school for an interview. From what I've heard, if you don't get an interview it means you're not going to be accepted into the program. Has anyone gotten a called back for an interview. I was told that you would know if you got accepted into the program in a month or month in a half.

Hey guys I'm starting spring 2019. I applied for fall 2018, but I was an alternate. You guys will probably get calls for an interview around the 15th. That's what they started calling last time. Yes that's true if you don't get called for an interview you didn't get in. Don't worry there is still time.

It went well. Dr. Marquez or Linda(I forgot her name to be honwst) will interview you. You will have to write an essay first & then they will call you in. They pretty much ask you about your grades & inform you about the program.

Hey guys! I just got called for an interview right now. Does this mean you're pretty much accepted into the program?

No it doesn't. They will call you after the interview to tell you if you got in or not
