APU ELM for Fall 2013

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

I just applied to the Entry Level Masters program for Azusa Pacificu University and the deadline was November 1st....has anyone received a phone call for an interview? They are very vague on when you might hear something so I just want to know if anyone has heard....I have a 4.0 in all my pre reqs and a 3.7 GPA on my previous bachelors...I have no volunteer work so im curious if im still competitive or what you guys have going in as well that have heard...I dont know if its going through the pile thing, or if they call the people they like the best first? Im trying to be patient but I just need to hear something!!

I thought states have quarters winter, spring, summer and fallIn Canada it's semesters spring/winter, summer and fall

We do have quarters but we also have semesters which are spring summer and fall. Depends on the school Azusa is on semesters.

yeah the spring starts in january and the summer term starts May 6th. Id love the summer cohort but my research class doesnt get done until the mid of may, hopefully i can finish early if they have a slot open of course! but yeah the board is reviewing for the fall of 2013. Crazy to think they only have twenty slots to fill (for each campus) I wonder how many people applied total??

How old are all of you? and what is your previous degree? Im 28 and my first B.S was in aviation science.

Congrats!!! you've said youre accepted already into an ELM program mcnabb3, did they let you know during your interview? May I ask how many times you've applied to nursing programs? ( since it seems like people have to try repeatedly )

I am 26 with a bs in health science and chemistry. I'm on a wait list for a pre req so hopefully I get the class. I was told about a total of 300 students on average apply per yr.

I am 26 and my bs is in genetics. Hopefully, all deserving people get a spot:)

I applied to the fall 2013. I can't wait to hear back. I'm 25 got my B.S in Health Promotion. I have two small kids. Anyone else with kids? I'm a little nervous to juggle both not to mention my husband is in the Navy so I will also be dealing with deployments. It's going to be hard but anything worthwhile is hard!

I applied to the San Diego campus. The interview went really well. She said I shouldn't have a problem getting in but then again I have heard that a lot of people had good interviews.

I haven't heard back for an interview yet. I called yesterday and left an message. When i applied, I was told that everyone will receive one. Has anyone else not received an advising session yet?

For those that haven't been interviewed I think you should be fine I heard students wouldn't know about acceptance until Jan.

I haven't heard back either. I called them earlier today but the one in charge of the ELM program was in a meeting, so I left a message via email as well. Hopefully we can hear back (: let me know if they reply to you!

And thanks to those who applied to my last post here, your advice was much appreciated. (:
