Quick question ... Any graduates, students, know any information, tips, or goodies about New Britian in CT, Excela in PA, or Minneapolis School of Nurse Anesthesia. I am applying to these schools this fall and would love to get some information regarding the schools themselves (clinical experience, interview, etc.) Thanks

Hello,
Did you apply for Minneapolis school of Anesthsia? I have an interview on Monday and was wondering if you had interviewed there? If so could you tell me how they interviewed?
Thanks, Danielle

I interviewed at MSA a year ago. Pretty typical non-clinical interview process. You will probably be there with another candidate. They will put you is seperate rooms. One will meet with the program director or someone like that and the other will talk with the head instructor and then they will switch rooms and you will talk to the other person. My interview lasted about 30 mins to 1 hr total. They asked why you wanted to be a CRNA and tell them about yourself. There were a couple of other questions that I can't remember. Pretty benign questions all in all. You also get a chance to ask them questions.
I don't know where you are from or if you have seen the building the program is based out of, but don't be surprised when you see it. It is a small building that looks like an old elementary school. There actually is a preschool class in the building. I think it is a community education building now.
Good luck.

Hi KermitRN,
I live in Pa and have done a lot of research into the Pa schools since that is where I will be applying to this fall as well. Excela in Latrobe is a very good program from what I have been told. I personally know 4 people who have recently graduated from the program. The first semester is pretty light, your classes are on 2 days during the week and all of the people were able to work 1-2 days/week that semester. The 2nd semester is the exact opposite of the 1st. All 4 people said that if you make through the second semester, you can make it through the rest of the program. I hope this helps but if you have any specific questions, I can try and get them answered for you.

I am thinking about applying to Excela in PA. All I know about the school is the application process seems pretty simple. Let me know if you find out anything about this school!
Thanks
Has anyone interviewed with Minneapolis School of Anesthesia this year?

I applied but haven't heard a thing yet.
I interviewed on Dec. 4th. Apparently they send out letters of acceptance in Feb. When did you finish your application process? What is your experience?
