Applying for RN license by endorsement (foreign-trained nurse)

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

If anyone could help me, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm a foreign-trained nurse currently licensed in FL and CA but I have a job offer in IL so I'm in the process of applying for licensure by endorsement. I read the pdf file online and it mentioned that if you are a foreign-trained nurse, you still need to have your transcripts evaluated by CGFNS or ERES and english test. However, it said that instead of those you can send proof of issuance of cgfns certificate and/or(?) visa screen certificate. My question is, do I need to send both cgfns cert and visa screen?

I do have a visa screen cert but not the cgfns certificate. I was thinking of just having the transcripts evaluated but it's just so much of a hassle since I'm here in the US and I don't have anyone who can go to my school back home for the paperwork.

I have been trying to call the number of IL BON for the entire day and NO ONE PICKED UP.

Is there a way to communicate to them via email? If so, please let me know their email address.

Hope someone out there can help.

Thanks in advance!

This is something all nurses have to go through no matter where the live. You just have to put in the time and effort, as we all do to get it done. The ILBON is not hidden, all the information is posted and easily accessible as is their contact info. Please don't ask people do do this busy work for you.
