Applying for nursing school, advice needed

Published

I plan to apply for an ABSN or MEPN in the Bay Area (Samuel merrit, SFSU, UCSF) and in SoCal (CSUN, CSUB and fullerton)

Me:

-two bachelors degrees (psychology and public health)

-Overall GPA 3.3

-As and Bs in the pre-requisites.

-GREs: 1210 and 5 on writing

-volunteered half a year at STI clinic, worked half a year as a caregiver for quadriplegic

-volunteered with nonprofits (English language program for immigrants)

I feel inadequate compared to many other applicants who have certifications. Should I get a CNA or phlebotomy license before applying or is that a waste of time? My main goal is to get accepted to a nursing school. What else can I do to strengthen my application? Thanks!

Please, don't let that discourage you. I don't have half of the stuff you have and I was accepted into a nursing program
