It sounds like you're wondering about whether someone who is not working in, say, L&D, could get accepted for a women's health program. While I cannot answer that, I had only been working in acute care heme/onc and was accepted into an adult-gero primary care program. Med-surg is the most "generic" you can get in nursing and I imagine if you write a good essay and show other ways in how you've been interested in women's health, they would consider accepting you into the program program

I wanted to know if any current NP's or NP students applied to NP Programs but were not in their intended NP field and was accepted. For example I have medical and surgical background but I am interested in becoming a WHNP.
