I think you're better off getting your CNA license because you can work as a CNA and gain paid experience pertinent in the field you want to work in. It also gives you a foot in the door so that you are able to transition as an RN in your workplace as opposed to stressing out looking for a job as a new grad RN.
I also agree with @Neo Soldier I would suggest getting your cna license and good luck, I think you will have a high chance of getting accepted into the nursing program

With all my courses, I've racked up 28 points in total. I also scored an 84.7 on my TEAS (.3 away from getting 3 points - bummer!) which leaves me with 2 additional points, giving me a grand total of 30 points (out of 34).
I feel rather anxious about my score, however, and would like to ask for any input. Do you guys think my chance of getting into the program is good? Or should I retake the TEAS and try to get a better score? I was also considering shelling out $150 to get a CNA licensure and getting a point that way instead of retaking the teas. What do you guys think? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Hey @ubalder!
I also applied for Fall 2019 Nursing at CSN. I think your score is pretty competitive. My counselor said that even a 27 is already competitive. Hope we both get in! Best of luck! ?

Hello @Momnurse2be4kids,
I got in with 32 points. The minimum points for the Fall 2019 semester was 27. ?
