Hey, I have a question about applying for a CA license by endorsement. Are you required to list any detailed work history during the application process or is it straight forward? I would like to know if I have to get any verification if employment, etc. Thanks!

Nothing special other than it can take a long time. Those applying whose original license was in certain countries (like Canada), some states, or even schools (like Excelsior), may find that they fail on educational grounds. Just to emphasize, it is your original place of licensure and education, holding another state of licensure is irrelevant. But those affected are in the small minority of all applicants. CA is perhaps the most particular of all states in this regard but historically NY is another such state.
A CA license is worth pursuing though as the average assignment pays better than average assignments elsewhere, even with the higher housing costs. Plus there are more assignments available than other states (perhaps Florida rivals the number) and of course many iconic locations.

Thank you so much for your response! I will also be visiting Cali next month so I’m hoping to be able to get everything done as far as live scan fingerprinting while I’m there. I’ve read it’s the fast route to go if possible versus the fingerprint card.
Absolutely a trip to CA shortens the time required, often dramatically comparing best to worst case scenarios. Worthwhile even if you are not in a rush as several months may ensue if fingerprint cards are rejected. I have no idea why CA hasn't yet allowed Livescan to be performed outside of the state. Protecting the business of in-state vendors seems trivial compared to the extra bureaucracy needed for fingerprint cards.
