Apply for USAR & USAF commissions...

I am torn b/t Army and Air Force...can i apply for both and go into the one that takes me first or is it better to choose before submitting packets to both? I am scheduled to graduate May 2011 and trying to get a head start...

You can only apply to one at a time. Talk to both recruiters first or better yet all three military branches and USPHS. Then make your decision on which service to apply to. You can always transfer your package over to another service and then they can use your MEPS physical and some of the other paperwork if for some reason you decide to switch before your package is finished with one branch.

Thanks! I was a little unsure about how to proceed and doing all that paperwork more than once kind of scares me :)

Keep an eye on the physicals, though - some services require different things for their physicals (like I know the Navy requires an EKG where the AF does not, or at least they did two years ago). So you may still find yourself back at MEPS - and also, commissioning physicals are often only good for one year.
