Hello All!
I have a question regarding NCLEX. I have a friend that wants to apply for NCLEX in the Philippines, but then she wants to take it here. Is that ok to do? I think it's ok, but I just want confirmation on it. Thanks

For a start you are not applying for NCLEX but license to be a registered nurse in the US. NCLEX is just a part of that process.
She once has eligibility can sit it in any test center that accommodates the NCLEX but she also needs to be aware that she will not be able to AOS once she has passed the exam.

What do you mean AOS? She can start applying and it would be up to her where she take the exam?
AOS is adjust status which she will need to do if she requires a visa allowing her to work.
She needs to apply to a state for licensure and receive eligibility to sit NCLEX then she can arrange where to sit it.
ok, thanks for the quick reply.

You need to find a state that is going to be foreign educated nurse friendly. Some states wont issue a license with out a ss#. Most states require a ss# in order to issue a license. If you don't have a ss# you can't work regardless. Good Luck
