Applied for Molloy's Fall 2018 Nursing Program

Published

Hello, all!

First post here. I submitted my application for next fall around the 26th of December. My overall GPA was a 3.48 and for my sciences, a 3.0.

For those who have been admitted, how long should I wait until I expect a response? Are my grades good enough?

Also, if anyone has applied for Molloy's Fall 2018 semester , please respond as well.

I'm so anxious, I'm in my third year at a CUNY and I just want to start my nursing courses already. :nailbiting:

Eager to hear from you guys!

I received my third letter stating that they have my paperwork and are still waiting for me to take my exams about 2 weeks ago. I called and she said that they are going to keep sending that letter until they make a decision? And as long I don't get a rejection I shouldn't worry.

However, when I was registering for the open house I saw that I could register for the exams as well (I came across it by pure luck)

So I signed up for both and hopefully I will be taking them on the 30th of May and getting my decision after.

Hi i got a letter to take the ND test as well. How would you say the test was & it seems like such a short amount of time to complete everything they ask. Do you think it was enough time & how was the math portion part?

Hi guys! I took the Nelson Denny and math screening on May 22nd and got my results (for the ND) on May 24th. I'm wondering if anyone knows when I'd expect to hear back from the school about admissions since they should already have my scores. Regarding the ND, I did think it was a short amount of time to complete everything, however it was easy material. If you made it through college already, you should have no issue with it because I'm honestly a bad test taker and ended up with a score of 16. The math wasn't difficult if you follow the review sheet they have on their website. I did have to brush up on basic math because I haven't had to do math without a calculator in probably 10 years. Don't worry, even if you don't pass the math, it doesn't affect your admission to the college :)

Thanks and i thought the score on the ND had to be a 17 in order to get into the nursing program. Did they say anything different at the testing site? I take my test June 19.

All I know that you have to get 90% or you take Math 060 (?) and its not suppose to affect your decision.

I don't have to take the ND because I'm exempt because of my SAT score.

At this rate, I think I'm going to get deffered to the Spring.

I take my exam Thursday.

Are you applying for the dual degree program or just the regular nursing program @scientwist ?

Hi nkp08, did you hear anything about the admissions decision? I also took the ND test on May 22 and they told me it's still under review. Thanks!

I'm an undergrad so I applied for the Regular BSN

@geniece44

Have you called and asked when might you get a response?

@gsfes

I applied for the ABSN. They said in the next 1-2 weeks.

How was the ND test & what score did they tell you need in order to pass @gsfes ?

You need 14 for ABSN. I am not sure if they reject you if you score less or you just end up taking ENG 101.
