Hello everyone! I just found out about a school taking apps & the deadline is this Saturday for the application and essay. It is just a 500 word essay and the guideline is: Tell us why you would like to major in nursing or occupational therapy and what contributions you see yourself making to the profession.
Of course I want to using my wording wisely and if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I know it is a personal question but if anyone has ideas on what makes a good nurse that I could add it would be great!! Thanks so much!

They probably don't want to hear "I want to be a nurse because of the job security and the great pay" and other things of that nature.
This is what I would say if I were writing it (don't use this exactly, obviously), "I want to be a nurse because I have always had a passion for people. I am a very approachable person and have always wanted to help others during their most vulnerable times of need. I believe that I would live a very successful and satisfying life as a nurse and I believe that I would positively impact my clients, their family and friends, and other health care team members."
I would say something to that extent. You can use that if you feel the same way, just change it a little
I hope that you are favored in this decision and that you get into the program you are trying to get in to!
