Appeal process for denied LVN license

Published

Hi everyone I decided to get some more information in regards my appeal process

I passed the board since October 2024

from that month and on I had to wait to get an answer I have an expunged dui , and I  got an attorney , I been on good conduct and that was the only thing on my record the judge just removed it from my record this February  2025 and I appealed late January 2025  , my attorney and I are waiting to hear back from the board I continue to believe I will be OK and it's just a lengthy process I'm getting very discouraged and at times I feel embarrassed of  such thing going on with my license

I'm a single mom who learned from her mistakes but money wise I'm struggling having to afford an attorney and paying the school loans etc ..

anyone have any advice ? Tips ?

thank you for taking the time to read  this !!

How long did it take?  I won my appeal last December.  The ruling was supposed to become effective on the 12th of March.  I'm still waiting to hear how I should proceed.  Nothing on Breeze yet.

I wanted to let y'all  know it's hard but possible , I got my license after my expungement only took 5 months ,

good luck to everyone

@Julian K call the board ask the tech  who was handling your case , we all get one assigned , I was polite trying to get information so I email him  and  he was the one that actually told me I was approved, also if I didn't follow up I would of not known it was approved since February

very bad communication but I guess they are just very busy .
good luck keep calling Don't give up !

I called today.  Apparently there was a "miscommunication" and they have my file.  The tech said it should be done within 48 hours.  Wouldn't have had any results if I didn't call.  Thank you.
