AOBSN FIU 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

I thought it'd be a good idea to create a forum for FIU's Accelerated Option BSN program for the application cycle of 2019 (graduation 2020). This way we can get to know each other and help each other out

Link is successful, there are three of us so far! Looking forward to talking to you all!

hey guys, so I didn't get a letter last week, but I was already accepted into another program. I still wanted some closure so I called FIU today and they told me that they will still be sending more acceptance emails between this week and next, that it was only the first wave. So I just wanted to let everyone else to not lose hope, it's not over yet ?❤️

Hi! I got accepted as well but forgot my password to log in to allnurses. Heh. We have to accept our spots by Sept 6 so don't lose hope just yet. A lot of people apply to multiple programs.

Hopefully everyone hears some good news soon! ?

Hi I was wondering if FIU offered students any need based or merit based grants for the AO BSN (not including the pell grant)?

Hi Cris. This is an old thread, people from this group have graduated and are not likely to keep up with this thread. Try finding a newer thread for the current group or upcoming group for more responses.

In terms of TEAS study guide I used Mometrix (has a black and yellow cover). It was really helpful for the math since I had forgotten all that basic math. I didn't find it as helpful for science but I came in with a really poor science background. Getting the math down using that book helped me get 100% which really brought my overall average up. At the time Christian told me that my overall average of 87% gave me a great chance of getting in and I did not retake it.

Best of luck!

Hello, I am planning on applying to the AOBSN program at FIU this year Fall 2022. I see most of you were accepted and are know in the program. I have heard many mixed reviews of this program. Can any one give me some insight to what the program is like? Are the professors any good? Are you guys able to learn and get good grades in your classes? Is it a good program? I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me some answers. I am debating either attending USF or FIU I would like to stay in Miami, but is it a good program?
