J-2 visitors may request work authorization from United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by submitting form I-765. Adjudication typically takes between 3 and 5 months. If approved, an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) will be issued, authorizing the J-2 visitor for employment for a period of up to one year. Applications for additional employment authorization may be submitted annually until the end of the J-2's status
if you have appropriate credentials and can get liscensed by the board of nursing in your state then you can work as a J2.
you should start things by applying for the 765. in the waiting time have your degree and foreign liscense evaluated/translated:
CGFNS International â€" Global Credibility in Credentials Evaluation
discuss the process of obtaining a state liscence with the board of nursing in your state, and go from there.
be aware that there is a glut of nurses in some areas right now. look into the local labor market and speak with some local hiring managers before you decide that nursing is the right job for you. people with RN degrees are hired into many different fields these days.

Hello!
I am going to apply for a J2 Visa which it will let me work in USA. I just wanted to be sure that I won't have any problem to work as RN. Is there someone who has been in the same situation or know if there is any limitation with this visa?
Thank you in advance!
