I worked at Ochsner a few years ago in their "float pool", and I thought the staffing was just dangerously low. I did work on their tele unit once or twice, and asked not to be sent back after those times. I have friends that worked there up until the hurricane hit, both of them went back for a few weeks after the hurricane, but decided they just did not want to risk there license there. I was told it is 10 times worse there now due to NO staff. If you really want a challenge, and if you are a well-seasoned Nurse with a lot of experience go for it! They could sure use the help!

I am looking into an opportunity with Nurse's Choice. The assignment is @ Ochsner in New Orleans. Just a little nervous being that it will be my 1st traveling assignment (telemetry unit). Any opinions on either the hospital or Nurse's Choice? Thanks!
