I've heard that Manhattan is owned by either AMN or Cross country. Also my recruiter gave me some crazy low ball rates for the city. Anyone know about hourly rates? Anyone have any experience? How has the housing been? have you had trouble with having a vehicle in the city? Have you had parking with your housing? Any details would be awesome!:heartbeat

NY Pres deals exclusively with Cross Country. The travelers in my unit now each got around $2200/mo stipends or really nice apts in midtown. I've never heard of parking being an option. Besides. You don't need a car in Manhattan.

keep me updated, i am interested in traveling there. Would also like some insight..i have a friend who will rent a room to me for a really low price. Is it worth it to take the stipend or stay with a friend? BTW i would have to stay in the bronx..not the scary part though lol. Its prob about a 25 min train into the city. .Any thoughts?

I am currently in NYC. have done 2 assignments here. One at Columbia-Pres and now I"m at sloan kettering. Love sloan. Hated Columbia. Pay in NYc is low, but it's free rent, which is (in my company paid for apt) about $2700/month. I love it here. There's tons to do. Don't bring your car. Leave it wherever you come from.
