Anyone work at a KruMed facility

Published

I've been offered a position with this company. I am curious how they treat their employees and what the working conditions are like. I am quite anxious as this will be my first nursing job. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Where is the facility located? I work for Kru. First off be sure to ask them about "paid holidays" something they dont pay. At least in the Florida faciities they dont. You work a holiday at regular pay. No time and a half, no comp time for it either. You get 15 hours per month pto (doesnt matter how many hours you work either) and must not go over total 120hrs or lose it. If your a pct then you cant go over 80. Health insurance is limited. The HMO is a 2000.00 deductible and if PPO then it's 70/30 with a 750 deductible. No bonuses for precepting. In fact bonuses are limited to 100-150 for full time staff only and far and few in between (ie: go 3 months with 95% of pt hgb x3 above 33%). You supply your own lab coats for PPE. No disposables. The contribute 50% for 401K but after you have been there I believe 3 or 5 years before they contribute. We literally have duct tape on our chairs lol. So guess the facility itself depends on where and how many hippers they may have. Acutes may be different but I'm management in a chronic facility. In fact looking else where out of dialysis at this point as with the new cms guidlelines it's become even tighter:bugeyes:. I will say though my working conditions and staffing is much better then it ever was when I was with Davita. I had all the bennies there but worked like a dog too for those bennies. So guess it comes down to what your needs are and what your looking for. Also if your training then you will have to sign a year contract unless your coming in experienced.
