Hi everyone! I am a new grad and I got hired on at IU med center on the organ transplant unit. I am so excited! I will be training on the surgical ICU because they are moving an icu to be on the otu but it won't be done until August. Does anyone work at IU? I was just wondering if what your thoughts were about it. Or if anyone worked on either of these floors because I will be working with you soon! Thanks, Tiff

I did not work at IU Med but have always heard many great things about all their staff.
We have had several patients go through the organ transplant center and have nothing but rave remarks about all the nurses there. Their transplant co-ordinators are top notch and they know their stuff!
That would be an awesome place to work and a great learning experience!!!!
Congrats!

That sounds like a wonderful position and I know IU has a great reputation. What a fascinating unit to be part of. Congrats!

Never worked there, but my sister's father in law had a 5 organ transplant there 8 months ago. The oldest person to have that many done at one time and survive. He is doing well.
