Hi
I recently am trying to get a position as a clinical aide and will be learning new skills like phlebotomy, EKG's, etc...However, I need to pick a shift and from what I understand, they have 12 hour shifts I believe? So, I was wondering if anyone here on the forum works at Baptist as a clinical aide, CNA, or any other profession, I'd really appreciate any advice on which shift is the best? It is easy for me to stay up nights but I also would like to meet new people, interact with patients, learn new skills, etc which mostly happens during the day. And although I want to learn and gain experience, I don't want to break my back while I'm at it you know? =) I currently work at Heartland as a CNA and I learned a few things doing day shift but it is alot of hard work and you never have a chance to take a break. I do nights now and its much easier and calm. Anyhow, I'd love any advice on which shift would be the best. Thanks and have a great day! (

Hi,
I work nights at Baptist and I love it. I am a new nurse graduate and it is my speed to try to catch on and learn everything. At night our ACP's are usually busy until about 0130 and that is when they usually get their breaks, just depends on how many patients are on the floor. Hope this helps.
