Hey y'all,
Any prospective Longhorns out there? I'm an external transfer trying to break through a brick burnt orange wall (at least it seems that way sometimes). Anyway, I'm mostly done with the application process but I'm procrastinating the really important parts like the essays and the resume. How is everyone doing application-wise? Also, anyone know the admissions stats for transfers that get accepted? I want to know if there's even a remote chance I'm going to get in.
Thanks!
Thanks and good luck for you!
I am an external transfer with 3.8 GPA...not thing really special to me. Well I am waiting-listed at Emory University, but I am going to UT Austin. I don't want to have that much student loan. I think it is much harder to get in as external transfer students.
Hey everyone! I know it's been a while since the last person commented on this thread but I wanted to reach out to anyone that can give me advice on getting into UT Austins nursing program for fall 2018.
My GPA is 3.87 and my science GPA is 4.0
I have some volunteer experience working in ICU and IMC at st davids, volunteering at heart screening clinincs and also helping out my community in non medical events as well. I completed all my prerequisites at Austin community college so I would be applying as an external transfer. I also was accepted into the National Honor of Collegiate Scholars which I hope is something that could benefit me during the application process. I haven't started any essays or my application yet for that matter.
Again, I saw a lot of you made it into their program for fall 2017 and wanted to see if you guys could give me any pointers or offer any advice on if you think I would be accepted because I know UT's nursing is very competitive.
Thanks for anyone that reads this and thank you for any replies. I appreciate it!

I got capped from UT austin nursing school and will be doing my first year at UTA. I did not take the cap offer since I would lose the money UTA was offering me. I really want to get into the UT nursing school for 2019 and wondering what I need to do to stand out to make my application look great!

They updated your MyStatus if they wanted your spring grades. From what I've seen it was those who needed that spring semester to bring them to 30 hours.
