I am just beginning to try and take some pre-reqs and basic science courses. I have a degree in accounting and am wanting to start nursing school in a few years. I am currently teaching high school math and need something I can do at home to get the prereqs. From what I have been able to find Iowa Com College on line seems to have the cheapest courses. I wondered if anybody has used them before, which individual college you went through, and if it was a good experience? Thanks so much for your help.

I took A & P I with Jorstad and Chem I with Klepper. Both courses and instructors were excellent. It was fast over the summer but i learned a lot. I am now in A & P II with Henry. This instructor is much less involved. I don't get emails from him and he does not have regular discussions on the class site like the last two did. I am still learning a lot due to the setup of the course, but it is much more self-directed.
The labs are done with simulation software, photos for id's and home chem experiments with everyday items.
I went through Northwest Iowa Community COllege as my home school and they have been very easy to deal with. I think as with everyother college you enroll in, some instrucotrs are great, some good and some just show up. It is very convenient to do the courses online, so I can't complain.
Good luck!
