I am thinking about going to Frontier College for my ADN-MSN/FNP. Is anyone else thinking about going there too? They get stellar reviews, and although I had never heard of them, they are apparently pretty popular in the NP and MW world.
Use the CNM locator at http://www.midwife.org/find.cfm to find potential clinical sites.
Contact the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) at (240) 485-1800 or http://www.midwife.org to obtain the name and contact information for the Chairperson of the local ACNM chapter. Attend a chapter meeting and talk with the local CNMs about clinical site opportunities.
This is the advice that Frontier gives on their website for locating preceptors in your area.

I live in North GA by the way. :)
Also, you are going for CNM right? I would look and see what CNMs are in your area. There are definitely a ton more NPs in my area than CNMs so it might be a little more difficult finding a CNM.... not to discourage you, but would hate for you to get excited about Frontier and then find that you have to drive a long way for clinical. But I have not heard anything (and I have searched) about people ending up in a situation where they get thru the majority of their program and not have anyone to do clinical with. I know if it were me, and if that happened to me, I would be warning people about that.
In their catalog (on their website) they have a couple of websites they give you to help locate preceptors... also an idea would be to start going to a CNM... for you GYN visits... that way you develop a relationship with one and I bet she would precept you since you would be her patient
