I'm thinking about applying for the online RN-BSN program at ISU. I searched through their website, but still have some questions about the clinical part. How does that work for a RN who has an active license and works in an acute care hospital full time? Is a preceptor still needed? I'm in CA. I don't see any affiliated clinical sites available in CA from their list.
You are going from an RN to BSN. You will definitely need to call ISU but I can tell you this: If you have not done an assessment class within the last 5 years, you will need to redo the assessment class; you will also need the reserach class and public health. I am not certain if you will need home health. You are right to inquire about California versus the rest of the states--the LVN to BSN program for Calif is a different but in the RN to BSN progam the program may be the same as the rest of the US.
